Creating a goal tracking chart is as simple as drawing a basic grid or table. If you discovered your speaking career depended on how organized your office was, your reaction could range from complete composure to sheer terror. Even the most successful professional speakers sometimes utter, "Some day I?m really going to get organized," but purging files, organizing computer files, tackling piles of unread journals, or learning a new software program (even one that will help you get organized!), usually gets pushed to the bottom of your list of priorities while you handle today's crisis.

Few books have impacted my perspective on human psychologically and behavior. A little over a year ago I read a book by Dr. Martin Seligman called, ?Learned Optimism?. Seligman was intrigued by an experiment he had witnessed involving dogs who exhibited inexplicable behaviors. His curiosity led him to create the ?Shuttle box? experiment. Without going into great detail, the two-phased experiment went along these lines.
In the Greek tale of creation, a Titan (Greek god) by the name of Epimetheus is given the task of creating living creatures. He screws the job up by giving all the good DNA and survival mechanisms to the animals. When it came time to creating man he had nothing left but soft skin and weak limbs.

This past Memorial Day weekend I decided to revisit my bookshelf to poke around and reminisce with books I?d read over the last decade. Wealth and Freedom (I know?sounds boring) is a great read on political economy for non-economists?like me.
